BRBPC vs Polo Fiasco

From Otters:

Game 1

Dan wins the charge, takes it round T&J and pops it through Adrienne’s BB in 8 seconds. 1 – 0
Fiasco gain composure and Josh equalises after 1”44 1 – 1
Tony and Josh are passing well, BRBPC blocking and hustling, Tony puts Fiasco ahead at 4”10 1 – 2
There’s a lot of back and forth, cracking shots from Tony; there’s a giant pause at the top of his back-swing when time seems to stand still, before he lets fly. All to no avail. Matt, Dan and Roxy are swapping out and working hard. Dan makes it level again dead on 10 minutes. 2 – 2
Tony puts Fiasco back in the lead again a minute later. 2 – 3
There is a goalmouth scramble with lots of footdown, Josh is at full stretch but fails to put a static ball over the line.
In the last 30 seconds Dan has at least 4 shots, all of which ricochet off Adrienne’s wheels.

Game 2

Not much pause as the second game starts in the same back and forth manner as the first game ended. Dan’s (?) shot is trapped in Adrienne’s front wheel after the first minute, but Matt kindly knocks it loose after a few hard swings at her spokes.

The play is end to end and a bit messy which results in Dan’s own Goal at 3 minutes. In some strange act of sympathy, Adrienne returns the favour 30 seconds later, after Matt’s hustling. 1 – 1

BRBPC are getting most of the ball and pressing hard, Dan scores again, in the right goal this time, at 5 minutes. 2 – 1

A shot of Dan’s goes wide and is caught by Big Daddy Wayne’s Knee. He seems nonchalant at taking the full pelt of the ball, but later admits to having been ‘stoic’ as he reveals a large, throbbing circle of pain marked clearly on his leg.

Tony finally gets some joy from the passing he and Josh have been stringing together, equalising at 13”55 to give them some hope. 2 – 2

But Matt pops a goal in with 30 seconds to go and balances the fixture. All to play for in the third.

Game 3

After a longer break between games the pace is back up. Josh scores after 1”30 and then there’s a long period which just seems to be four people on bikes chasing a ball with sticks up and down the pitch. It’s all very evenly matched, but eventually Fiasco have the better of this period, with shots coming from Josh and Tony that finally pays off for Josh at 7”44. 0 – 2

This enrages Matt, who scores at 8”05 and again a minute later. 2 – 2

Dan scores again to put Black Rebel in the lead at 10”50 and Roxy’s goal-tending helps fend off the remaining attacks from Fiasco.

Final scores, BRBPC vs Polo Fiasco 2 – 3, 3 – 2, 3 – 2
