Los Coños vs. Rotten Apples

Rotten Apples beat Los Conos 5-0, 5-1, 5-0 at Newington this evening. The game didn’t really need a ref – it was clean, flowing polo without a single crash, but it was a great game to watch up close. The Apples’ victory was convincing – Em and Gabes linked well out front and Rik was strong on the few occasions he was tested. Hops was reliably awesome in goal saving countless shots, and Ali and Jo LC kept a very strong D. The Apples scored most of their goals on counter-attack – Em is looking dangerous on his new (permanent?) rig and was decisive in scoring some epic goals breaking clear (except when trying to do ‘Seattles’ which were all fails). Gabes opened the scoring in all three games with fantastic shots. Apples go top of the league.
